10.#Forty days of flooding
Genesis 7 : 7-24

Like a huge torrent, rain poured forth from heaven for forty days and forty nights. The floodwaters covered the earth.
Noah, his wife, his sons, and his daughters-in-law entered the big ship to escape the flood. They also brought along all kinds of living creatures - one male and one female for each kind.
It poured mightily outside the ship and the water level rose to cover the highest mountains. As the ship floated above the water, the sky became dark and cloudy. Strong winds, thunder bolts, lightning flashes, and torrential rain ravaged every living creature.
Some people relied on their wagons and others on their horses. But the flood swept up the wagons and the mighty waves carried away the horses. People everywhere clung onto small fishing boats, sailboats, canoes, and even door panels as their lifesavers. People who had strong, athletic builds tried to scale the highest mountains to escape the flood. Bewildered mothers huddled in dark and damp caves and held their babies close as they awaited death. Fathers used all their strength to save their dear children. Husbands mourned for their dying wives - the women to whom they had given all their love and affection were dying right before their eyes! Every creature that lived in the land died.
An act of God? The reaction of a wounded Mother Nature? One could argue that human lust led people towards destruction and sealed their fate.
